Abstract
The cover letter was done in unison with the resume. After much of my strengths were identified, it was decided that I would “apply” for an internship at Google. I found an internship where I felt like I could meet much of the requirements and expressed my interest in applying for the opportunity. Since I have no work experience, writing this cover letter will prove crucial in the future when I am, eventually, in need of applying for a similar internship. Being able to speak highly of yourself is key in many cover letters and so, I tried my best to do so while remaining true to who I am and what I am capable of.

To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Bramhadev Emogaje and I’m pleased to be applying for this internship at Google. I am writing this to express my interest in the field of engineering and I feel that I am a great fit for the kind of person that you are seeking. It is very important to me that I can improve my skills as an aspiring engineer and to be the best that I can be. That is why I chose Google, a company where only the best of the best can continue to get better.
As a current undergraduate student at The City College of New York, I am pursuing a career in mechanical engineering and I believe that I have the abilities necessary to apply for this position. I have much experience in writing research papers and analyzing data to represent graphically. My time studying here has allowed me to improve my public speaking/presentation capabilities, reading and writing skills, as well as the ability to conduct research. I have learned a lot of this however, I would love to able to further apply these to my desired field.
With much of these skills, I believe that I would be a great fit at Google. Though I don’t have much prior working experience, I am more enthusiastic to get started than the next person who does. Thank you for your time and consideration and I hope to be speaking more in the future.
